This will also notify the social media managers for the Fair Haven Business Assn, and they will try to ensure that they repost your post when possible.
Use Facebook groups that exist for Fair Haven
There are 2 Facebook groups that are used heavily by Fair Haven residents, and they allow businesses to post in the group:
- Facebook group Fair Haven, NJ allows businesses with a Fair Haven address to post and promote themselves, but limited to no more than once a week. (Real estate posts not allowed.)
- Facebook group Fair Haven Moms & Dads allows businesses with a Fair Haven address to post and promote themselves, but limited to no more than once a week. Business must post from their business page, not personal Facebook page.

General good practices
- Minimize use of AI-generated images. Facebook penalizes accounts that overuse of AI-generated images, and doing so will cause Facebook to de-prioritize your posts (that is, they will be shown to less people).
- About using hashtags:
- In general, hashtags aren’t as important for reach as they used to be:
- Hashtags can be helpful on Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok, where they are used to categorize your content.
- Hashtags are helpful, and are more widely used, on Bluesky.
- Hashtags add little to no value in Facebook posts, and in Google Business Profile posts.
- Threads does not support hashtags, although they have a similar concept called Topic Tags.
- A good hashtag for Fair Haven businesses and events is #fairhavennj.
Managing Social Media from a Hub
There are ways to manage social media from a single application. Note that the following social media channels are all owned by the company Meta: Facebook, Instagram, Threads.
- You can link your Facebook and Instagram accounts through the Meta Accounts Center, which gives you the option to have a post Facebook automatically post to Instagram, or vice versa.
- Meta Business Suite provides a hub used to manage all of Meta's social media channels for a single business from one place. It provides the ability to set up multiple admins, and manage access levels for those admins.
- There are other similar tools offered by third parties.
